The War on Drugs performing in a pagan place
“In a pagan place,” indeed -- barely two weeks ago we sent a team into the out-of-time wooded glens of the Pendarvis farm in Happy valley, Oregon, to capture stripped down performances during Pickathon. There’s just something about the festival’s laid back approach and the idyllic scenery that draws out some truly unique performances from the musicians who play there. We’ve already shared a few of the sessions we captured in the “Bunny Glen,” one of the festival’s dedicated jam stations (see Part 1), and now here are few more: Adam and David from The War on Drugs covering The Waterboys as a couple of kids swirl about them, Cat and Stas from Seattle’s THEESatisfaction singing a capella, the ten-person Portland group Typhoon spread throughout two rooms in the Pendarvis farmhouse, and more. Stay tuned for the rest of the videos tomorrow!
